For each child you will need a small clay pot or a Styrofoam cup would work as well. I found these tiny pots at a local big store garden center. You will also need a stalk of wheat, grass seed, soil, and a small piece of paper.
Pour soil in pot. Sprinkle grass seed and tamp down the soil with your finger. Lightly water the pot. Cut off the wheat stalk stem to about 6 inches. Write today’s Bible verse on the small piece of paper and tape it to the wheat stalk. Stick the wheat stalk in the soil. Keep the soil moist but not dripping and in a sunny place until the seeds sprout. Discuss how God takes care of us through the sprouting, growing and harvesting of crops.
