There are so many flower, bulb and seed catalogs in the mail during the winter. They have such pretty pictures! Don’t you just hate to throw all of them away?! Here’s how we used some of them.

Fold the large sheet of paper in half (length-wise). Now match the ends (fold) twice more. Open it up and have eight squares in which to draw your letters. Draw block letters H O S A N N A ! (Eight spaces, Seven letters and an exclamation mark).

Ask the children to glue the flower pictures on each letter until the letter is filled. It looks great if each letter is a specific color, but depending on the age and ability of the child, you may just be happy that they make it on the letter!

Allow the letters to dry. Cut out the letters and staple them to the ribbon or cord and hang it as you celebrate around Christmas or even Palm Sunday – HOSANNA!
