Like many of you I have been struggling about how to reopen. What are the best practices? Even more, who in the world can I find to come serve or work with our kids. We have to reopen sometime. The other ministers are looking at me and asking when the kids can come back. Other churches around me are asking when I am reopening for kids? It feels like the weight of the world! So, like you, I’m praying and reading whatever I can find, as well as listening to podcasts concerning this. I’m encouraged by some ministers who have already started back and have not opened with huge numbers. Personally, I’m thrilled that parents are keeping their kids at home and safe. Just when you think it is going to be okay to be out and about, the Covid-19 numbers start going up again and one of our ministers has tested positive. Looks like we aren’t out of the woods yet.

I have started the process by choosing to reopen Childcare (Babies-threes) during two of our worship services starting July 12.  I’m sure we will learn a lot and adjust accordingly. I’m not sure this will help you, but I am attaching my guidelines for you to read or to edit and make your own. We are all in this together, so whatever we can share will help the Church. Next week, I’ll share the document I created for reopening Sunday School in August. Let me know if this helps.

Your Friend,

Mr. Mark
