Objective: Team effort to find the numbers of a verse reference without being able to see the numbers.
Purchase a set of mailbox or house numbers. Get the plastic, three dimensional type. Another idea would be to use several sets of fun foam numbers cut on a die cut. Place the numbers in a pile, provide an eye cover for the players, and quote a verse you are memorizing from Bible Skills or your teaching unit. Players must feel through the numbers to pick out the ones that match the verse’s reference. Pass the number to the end of the line where it is laid out in proper order. The searcher can only identify numbers by touch not sight. No team mates can help by telling the numbers in the searcher’s hands. Seeing is helpful, like when Joseph saw the future in Pharaoh’s dreams.
