I wanted to inform you of a couple of events coming early in 2012 to add to your calendar:
January Update
A one day meeting January 19 from 9:30 am-2:00 pm at the Baptist Building. This meeting will serve as a time to hear from different speakers and learn what new things are coming our way in 2012.
There is no cost, you do need to register, at www.bgco.org/childhood, ahead of time so we can provide lunch (We’ll have Ted’s Mexican). This event will be great for meeting new ministers and sharing ideas. I hope you can carve out some time in your busy schedule.
The January Update will also serve as a preview for a new training opportunity, called Community94, coming in 2012.
Community94
An opportunity designed to invest in the lives and ministries of Childhood Ministers. The group will get together 9 times throughout the year and have 4 hours of training at each meeting. Think of this as a professional day tailored for the professional Childhood Minister. This will allow you to get away from the church office and gain new insights as well as ideas in ministry.
The group will meet monthly for training beginning with the January Update on January 19th. Because this is a new opportunity we want to allow people to see what the meetings will be like before committing to a whole year. Anyone is welcome to attend the January meeting and registration for Community94 will remain open until the February meeting. There is a one-time registration fee of $199.00 for the entire year. This covers the meals, any new release books and guest speakers traveling to lead our training.
To be a part of this opportunity you are only required to register once. Upon registering and paying the $199 registration fee you will be signed up each meeting. After the February meeting there will not be another opportunity to join the group.
