You will need slices of bread, cookie cutters, a toaster oven, yarn, birdseed, clear sandwich bag, and peanut butter. (ALLERGY ALERT!) If you have children who are allergic to peanuts you can probably substitute almond butter or cashew butter. Please check with parents first!) Cut shapes from bread using cookie cutters and make a small hole if needed with a pencil. Toast slices of bread in the oven at 250 until they are dried out. (You may want to do this in advance). Loop the yarn through the hole. Allow each child to spread peanut butter (or substitution) onto bread and press onto plate of birdseed. Place in plastic sandwich bag to take home.
