A Great Idea for (Homeliving Center):
Spring is a good time to add something new to the homeliving center—time to make new play dough, too!
Use sticky notes to mark Bible verses to read: 
God sends the spring rain. Jeremiah 5:24
Think of the wonderful things God made. Job 37:14
What to Gather:
- Bible, pastel sticky notes
- pastel play dough
- muffin pans
- pastel silicone muffin pan liners*
- pastel and spring-design paper muffin liners
- spring cookie cutters, optional
*Shop for this new item in craft and party stores with cake decorating supplies. Enjoy watching children shape play dough in the soft liners.
Put It Together
Play Dough Recipe
1 cup flour, 1/2 cup salt , 2 teaspoons cream of tartar. 1 tablespoon cooking oil, 1 cup water, food coloring (spring colors)
Mix the flour, salt, and cream of tartar together. Mix the cooking oil and food color in the water and add to the dry ingredients. Stir and pour mixture in an electric skillet or nonstick pan. Stir
constantly until dough pulls away from the sides of skillet or pan. This process takes about 3 minutes. Empty dough onto waxed paper. Knead until smooth and cool. Store in a zip-lock bag.
Place the play dough and other supplies on the table for children to use. (See illustration.)
