Gather:
- orange construction paper, cut in approximately 1 inch wide strips
- hole punch
- brass brad fastener
- marker
- green leaf or green construction paper leaf
- tape

Instructions:
Cut orange construction paper into 1-inch wide strips. Ask the children to write things they are thankful for on the strips (3 strips each). Place the strips into an asterisk pattern like the first picture. Punch a hole in the center and insert the brass brad fastener. Pull the strips up (words can be on the inside or outside) and tape each strip together at the center. Attach all of the strips with tape at the top, forming a pumpkin. Tape a leaf on the top.
