This activity allows boys and girls to see the affect of water drops on their drawing. This is art and nature at work together so take time to observe what happens.
- Coffee Filters
- Washable Markers
- Eye droppers
- Small dish of clear water
- Paper Towels
Invite children to choose their favorite colors of markers and draw a picture about today’s Bible story. Continue to tell the story as the child works. Engage in conversation by asking questions and learning more about what he is thinking.
When the child has completed the drawing, invite him to use the eye dropper and squeeze the bulb to draw water into the tube. You may need to practice a few times by dropping water on a paper towel before dropping on the drawing.
Observe and enjoy the affects with the child by talking about the changes you see.
